You spoke, and we listened

As a result of many months of research by means of focus groups, town hall meetings and one-on-one interviews, WMHT and Zone 5 are pleased to release the findings of the Tech Valley Now Community Listening Project. The printed report and accompanying broadcast on WMHT aim to answer the questions on the minds of residents throughout the region — What is the Capital Region? Who are we? What do we love about life in the region? What matters most? And, where are we headed?

“WHEN I SAY IT’S ‘UP-AND-COMING,’ THERE’S JUST SO MUCH ACTIVITY GOING ON HERE AND I REALLY FEEL THAT IN THE NEXT FIVE TO TEN YEARS, WE’RE GOING TO REALLY SHOW OTHER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY THAT THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE.” — FOCUS GROUP PARTICIPANT, SEPTEMBER, 2008

Producing great TV, radio, marketing and PR is just a means to an end. The real goal is changing lives and building communities. And that requires a deeper understanding what matters most to the people that build our communities. The Tech Valley Now Listening Project was developed to help answer that question.
