Pride and egos don't get in the way of learning how a program works or what line of copy may work better. Zone 5 is a place where everyone can contribute, not just the senior person in the room. Celebrate creativity. We informally gather over each other's shoulders. We're more likely to spread creativity than gossip. To gather around the drawing board, rather than the water cooler.
The social environment of Zone 5 is that of a small family. Even though the company has seen rapid employee growth in recent years, the office still eats lunch together as a group every Wednesday. And a shared CD jukebox of employees' own collections allows each employee to play the music of their choice at their own workstations.
A Technological Culture
One of our strongest selling points is how we stay on top of ever changing technologies. Coming from a prepress background, we are consistently on top of the latest software being used in the market. The development of software for our work with Web and new media projects keeps us at the forefront of interactive media technology. And by housing complete printing, large format and trade show production in-house, Zone 5 can stay in front of the curve. This "technology-current" goal makes employees more productive, better production leads to a quicker turnaround on projects and a better final product – creatively, technically and financially.
