Toyota, Tiger and Messes, Oh My!!!

Bill Schwarz, Vice President of Communications at Zone 5 recently shared his thoughts and experiences in crisis communications to public relations professionals on the topic of the Toyota recall and Tiger Woods. The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Capital Region Chapter hosted the workshop titled, “Toyota, Tiger and Similar Messes: when bad things happen to great brands and how smart PR people can turn things around.”

The stories are still unfolding, shoes are still dropping, and there's been no rest for the PR teams managing the reputations of billion dollar brands. In the midst of these PR crises, panelists looked at what has gone right, what has gone wrong, and how to learn from what has happened in order to help your organizations and clients.

Bill lent his decades of experience in managing crisis communications to the panel discussion and gave advice on how to “come out the other side” with your good name in tact.
