Zone 5’s VP of Public Affairs to Moderate TechConnex Panel
John D’Allesandro, Zone 5’s Vice President of Public Affairs, will moderate a distinguished panel of media experts at the March 18 TechConnex event: Media Strategies for IT Companies. Panelists will include Mike Spain, Associate Editor of the Times Union; Elizabeth Meurs, Managing Director, Central Market of Pitney Bowes Business Insight; Mike Hendricks, Editor of The Business Review; and Rosemary Armao, Assistant Proffesor of Journalism/Commuication for the University of Albany.
The panelists will be discussing how the media has changed over the last decade through vast changes in technology in all aspects of work and life, a well as how media interest has changed specific to technology companies. Of special interest at the presentation will be discussion on how software and IT companies can best present their story to the media. The panel will also dive into trends in the media, including the rising impact of blogging and the decline of traditional advertising.
