March 11, 2010

Zone 5 has been honored with 15 awards from the Higher Education Marketing Report. Zone 5 was awarded for a wide-range of work in higher education, including print, radio, outdoor, and television advertising as well as Web site, viewbook and overall campaign work.

“We are proud to have received 15 Educational Advertising Awards and honored to share these with our clients,” said Paul Fahey, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Marketing Strategy at Zone 5. “We work hand-in-hand with all of our higher education clients and through this collaborative and creative effort we strive to make them stand out, in a crowded field.  While achieving this for our clients, it is also nice to be recognized by our peers at the same time.”

Zone 5 and Columbia-Greene Community College combined to receive nine awards in the following categories: Total Advertising Campaign, Radio Series, Radio Single Spot, Television Series, Television Single Spot, Video Viewbook, Class Schedule, Newspaper Series and Newspaper Single Ad. “Working with Zone 5 has always been an enriching experience,” said Allen Kovler, Public Relations Director at Columbia-Greene Community College. “Their talent pool is the best I've encountered in my 30 years in the field. The work produced by our collaborative approach speaks for itself.”

In addition, Zone 5 and Newbury College were honored for their work in outdoor advertising. “We wanted a campaign that would strengthen awareness of Newbury by leveraging our proximity to Boston while engaging both traditional-age students and adult professionals,” said Joe Chillo, Vice President for Enrollment Management at Newbury College. “The Zone 5 team did just that with the “T”-ads (subway). By leveraging our close location to the Green Line, Zone 5 developed compelling ads that are not only very creative but are a great use of the medium as well.”

In addition, Zone 5 was honored for their award-winning work with The Sage Colleges, SUNY Geneseo and SUNY Plattsburgh.
