Zone 5 grabs 6 NORI awards in regional creative competition
On Friday, June 6th, Zone 5 was awarded 6 NORIs at the 35th annual NORI Awards for excellence in advertising and communications. Named "NORIPALOOZA" befitting the rock concert theme for this year's program, the region's premier creative competition was held in the Hart Theatre at the Egg in Albany. The evening's presentation was highlighted by ad Club member presenters (including Zone 5's Paul Hook) partnered with rock star impersonators, including Cher, Slash and Madonna. Entering the evening with 14 finalists, Zone 5 grabbed 6 of the coveted creative awards, receiving recognition for their work in higher eduction, technology, and professional services, as well as for their own self promotion.
In the category for Direct Marketing Campaign, Zone 5 took top honors for Plug Power's “Meet GenSys Blue” campaign; for the “Compete Smarter“ trade advertising campaign for SEMI; the “Sage is right for you” consumer newspaper campaign for the Sage Colleges; and event promotional materials for CRM Holdings and Majestic Insurance. Zone 5 also received honors for their self promotional work on their own corporate Web site.
One of the largest, most diverse professional communications organizations in the Capital Region, the Ad Club has hosted the NORI Awards every year since 1972 to honor outstanding achievement in advertising and communications. By applying the highest criteria to judge its members, the creative competition serves to continually raise the standards of work in the region and promote excellence in communications.
