Zone 5 sponsors the Center for Economic Growth's SmartStart UNYTECH Venture Forum

On May 19th and 20th, Zone 5 helped support the 9th Annual SmartStart UNYTECH Venture Forum as a Silver Sponsor. Moving to a different upstate region each year, this year's event was held in Albany at the Crowne Plaza City Center. It is the largest annual venture forum in all of upstate New York. Attendees saw presentations from 26 firms, with six coming from the Capital Region, including Touche, Ener-G-Rotors, Intellidemia, Upside Over, Free Form Fibers and Zone 5 client, Kiniticast.

This unique event displays the very best early-stage companies from throughout the entire state of New York. With technology one of Zone 5's main industry sector concentrations, the event is a natural for Zone 5 to attend and sponsor. "There are many great ideas on display at an event such as the SmartStart UNYTECH Venture Forum," said Paul Hook, Director of Marketing for Zone 5. "A company such as ours can help early-stage companies create a professional presence leaving them time to focus on developing their technologies."

At the venture forum, venture capital funds, seed investment funds, angel groups and investors met with and learned more about these company's teams, technologies and plans for succeeding in the marketplace. Additionally, experienced entrepreneurs were given a chance to gain exposure to upcoming companies for their potential involvement, and many of the venture company service providers – including Zone 5 – were hand at this showcase event.
